writers read in lagos - saturday april 8

All writers (and aspiring writers) are hereby invited to the April edition of the Reading and Meeting of the Lagos State Branch of Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA Lagos, which holds next Saturday, APRIL 8, 2006. The theme of the Reading is: Female Voices in the Nigerian Literary Landscape.

Guest speakers at the reading include Prof Dapo Irele of the university of Ibadan (UI) and Araceli Aipoh, who is expected to read from her powerful book, No Sense of Limits; and speak on the topic: Marketing Books in Nigeria (based on the theme: The Book Industry in Nigeria).

The highlights of the reading, which will feature such acts as Onileagbon and Jojo -- Body Beat, include exciting poetry performances, readings from various creative works of members, and drama. Onileagbon is billed to present Chapter One of his dramatic poem entitled DEFINITIONS at the reading.
